One day a crow stood on a branch near his nest and felt very happy with the meat in his mouth.At that time,a fox saw the crow with the meat,so he swallowed and eagerly thought of a plan to get the meat.However,whatever the fox said to the crow,the crow just kept silent.Until the fox thought highly of the crow’s beautiful voice,the crow felt flattered and opened his mouth to sing.As soon as the meat fell down to the ground,the fox took the meat and went into his hole.

Once upon a time, a man and his wife had the good fortune to have a goose which laid a golden egg every day. Lucky though they were, they soon began to think they were not getting rich fast enough.
They imagined that if the bird must be able to lay golden eggs, its insides must be made of gold. And they thought that if they could get all that precious metal at once, they would get mighty rich very soon. So the man and his wife decided to kill the bird.Short Stories
However, upon cutting the goose open, they were shocked to find that its innards were like that of any other goose!

中文意思：
一天早晨，一个农夫发现自家的鹅窝中有一只金灿灿的蛋。他把蛋带回家，惊喜地发现这是一个金蛋。
从此以后，农夫得鹅每天都下一个金蛋。他每天都把金蛋拿到集市上去卖，很快他就变得富有起来乐。
慢慢地，农夫变得越来越贪心，他就想：要是我把鹅的肚子划开不就能得到很多的金蛋了。于是，他把鹅杀死了，但是，鹅肚子中什么也没有。
